Gary Carter baseball cards. I sold off all of my other cards for pennies on the dollar. I had about 300k cards, but I needed the room in my garage. I have over 500 different Carter cards, and about 2K total.

This is what we call in my neck of the woods, a "honkin" topic. That means "awesome" or "huge". I really appreciate all the feedback. Some of you collect some crazy cool stuff. I had a snake once. I was about 12; it was a Florida king. Beautiful snake. I love it and cried like a baby when it died. Of course, the fact that I killed it didn't help matters . Per my spectacular uncle's instruction, "he'll be okay if you leave him outside while your mom and dad paint the house". I was worried that the paint fumes would hurt him. Shoulda just left him inside. To make a long story short, it got up to about 90 degrees that day.... I saved up my allowance all summer long, and only had him a few months. Oh well. Josh

My brother kept the household furnishing, including a clock that looks amazingly close to the left ornate one.
My aunt has a bunch of clox including a few grandfathers her husband made all the woodwork for, purposely off-time so she can hear each one.

My collections (from the past) which I have not added to in a long time include:
foreign paper money
Silver bullion, rounds and bars
Old cigar boxes (keep them in a big plastic tote... the smell is heavenly when I lift the lid)
Other than that, I am still adding to my US circulated coin collection and foreign coin collection when I buy by the pound.

Ah I forgot about all the money blown on pokemon cards when I was a kid. Those packs used to be heaps but you had to keep buying them so they were better than the neighbours kids. They got banned at my school as they started so many

Hi, I'm Parklane64, and I'm a collector. Do youse guys have any embossed napkins or cups at these functions? No? Any match books?
Ok, I'll sit down, now.
Yeah, the wife likes the Belleek collection, and the money thing, sorta. Not so much the records, what do you do with 12,000 records when you get tired of collecting them? Yeah 'bout five pickup loads.
I have a double garage, two sheds, and two storage areas....
three grandchildren three little brown dogs three grandchildren-shocked cats
Oh, and a 1964 Mercury Parklane.

I've always been a music/sound geek. I took electronics in college, play several instruments, and sing. I collect electric and acoustic stringed instruments, amplifiers, radios, and synthesizers. I also am starting to collect all the old video game consoles I owned as a kid. I'm a flea market fanatic! I love old vacuum tubes about as much as coins. They can be found buried in estate sales and flea markets, etc., just like coins. I've "flipped" a few of them on ebay, even. I recently found a flea market with boxes and boxes of old tubes, not far from all the coins. Unfortunately, they had been picked through the day before; the dealer said one guy bought about a hundred! I was kicking myself...

Nice watches. I have one pocket watch that I was given many years ago. I am sure it is just a cheap one but it still works well. I have recently started to get into good wristwatches and my wife bought me a Seiko SSC 007 for my upcoming birthday. I plan on getting a few custom SKN 007's and an Omega Speedmaster as well but that will be on down the line. If I can fit it in I may try for a Rolex GMT or Submariner as well.
As for the musical insturments, I don't know if I mentioned I play the banjo but I used to collect those and guitars, now I just have one, but I do have a few vintage insturments like an old SG an old mandolin and a 1957 Story & Clark piano that I restored.
Apollo, thanks. If I had known you collected millitaria I would have emailed you a few days ago. I just traded a WWII Japanese Nambu pistol for a GSA 1884 cc Morgan and some commemoratives. Maybe we can talk on some uniforms. I used to collect that stuff heavily but have traded most of it all out for coins or cash. I just don't have the room for it any longer. I already need to build a bump out on my house to expand a bedroom as it is and will probably have to build a full addition later on. I gots lots a hobbies, kids, and... Well... Stuff... :-)

Cool, my parents collect basically everything. If you have any handguns, old rifles, knives, bayonets I could ask my parents if they'd like to talk business. We have an old 1860 Winchester hanging in our hall, awesome gun!
