CajunLady... Quote: A farmer in California owns a beautiful pear tree. He supplies the fruit to a nearby grocery store. The store owner has called the farmer to see how much fruit is available for him to purchase. The farmer knows that the main trunk has 24 branches. Each branch has exactly 12 boughs and each bough has exactly 6 twigs. Since each twig bears one piece of fruit, how many plums will the farmer be able to deliver? None, obviously, because he has a pear tree...

Speaking of prices, here's one (it's a bit famous, so if you've seen it before, just let others figure it out, and no fair googling!)
Three guests check into a hotel room. The clerk says the bill is $30, so each guest pays $10. Later the clerk realizes the bill should only be $25. To rectify this, he gives the bellhop $5 to return to the guests. On the way to the room, the bellhop realizes that he cannot divide the money equally. As the guests didn't know the total of the revised bill, the bellhop decides to just give each guest $1 and keep $2 for himself.
Now that each of the guests has been given $1 back, each has paid $9, bringing the total paid to $27. The bellhop has $2. If the guests originally handed over $30, what happened to the remaining $1?

We would still be here, but we would be biting our fingernails to the bone trying to refrain from letting lose our great wit on the "well mannered" people in this forum.
Thanks JBUCK.....for we get to let it out in dribs and drabs and that satisfies us..... somewhat. Sure hope the day does not come where we totally lose control. But, I think there are meds to prevent that. That reminds me.... I have to call in a prescription right now.

Nowhere, they paid 27 dollars on a 25 dollar check leaving the bell boy with a $2 tip. There is no extra dollar you tricky devil :P

OK - sorry I left everyone waiting - been busy with another project recently and was not looking at email. Hmmm... Curl base 2, no knob... I admit if my friend the Captain had not bid 100.00, that would have been my bid. I think it is around this price range. So let's make it as close to a 50/50 chance for both of us as I can. If its 100.00 or below, you win. If its above 100.00, I win. My bid: $101.00BTW - to whoever - nice half dollar! Congrats Cajunlady on the last one and best wishes to CaptainFwiffo on this one!

Dang, I think you probably have it. If I had to guess over or under $100, I guess I would say over...
