thanks aDk2 and Amaths. I remember these rolls were quickly sold out last year. I will grab one this year to fill my 50c collection.
BTW, all new coins are available pre-order for MC members now. it's funny that in the description of ultra high relief silver queen portrait it says 99.999 pure silver, which I don't think so...

Nothing floats my boat here. The coin that interests me is the Niobium, but I just can't get into the set at that price. Knowing that there are going to be some beautiful spring coins soon, I can wait for those.

I'm aligned with Lithanial, xept for the painted copper coin. Being a first, low mintage, nice design, etc, I think this could be a quick sell out.

Lithanial: I'm curious, what coins are coming in the spring?

^I have no clue to what designs, but the Spring coins tend to be nice and sell-out quickly.

Might be a dumb question, but do most people just keep the roll of 50 cents as is or do people open them up and give them out as gifts? Never bought a roll, but I remember the past 2 year's issues have always sold out quite fast.

Actually, there will be at least one design based on the Canadian Geographic photography contest winner.

@Silverbug The UHR silver coin still freaks me out, but looking at the reverse then flipping to the obverse for some reason makes the coin appealing, something about having 2 images of Liz on the coin in my mind shoots into more of a medallion than a coin. But with the amount of QE memeorabilia that has come out recently suspicions arise that soon she will no longer be on our coinage.

@ Lithanial With the overpricing of this release of coins the Spring Issue will have to be saved for. As for this release nothing really caught my fancy besides the UHR...but the price is too high for it, much rather buy a few 2012 Moose with the money. I can't wait for the eagle bullion coin to come out if they try to keep to a realistic representation then the coin will fantastic.

@RogerD: at RCM shop there is a video playing all day long showing how all kinds of coins are minted, it takes 6 strikes to mint an UHF moon coin. it also shows how a gold gilded coin were made

@Mrpiedfort: I personnaly do both. I always order 5 rolls and open 2 or 3 of them. I give some as gifts to friends and family. A bunch of people at my job collect circulation coins for fun and don't want to spend $25 on a roll so I sell them 1 or 2 pieces for the price they cost me. Everybody is happy!

I remember one review of the 50c rolls of last year says that there is one coin short in one of the rolls he/she got. Is that common?

@aDk2 thanks, I just pre-ordered a roll of 50 cents as well as the niobium wolf. The wolf would probably stand out quite well amongst my other coins.

I believe the asyn listing is for a NC $0.50 which may have come from an uncirculated set rather than a roll.
