Good call, augold! I'll be hanging out here a lot. My main collection is on British royalty; up till a year ago I did coins exclusively, but with fewer and fewer holes I needed to expand the pool, so here I am. I start with Victoria as well, her golden jubilee medal from Croydon, a borough of Greater London. It has some dings on the rim because it is big and somewhat heavy, and most likely had a couple of falls. This pic will give you an idea of the size of the medal,

svslav,
at this point, I only have 1 or 2 more to offer. 1 is George V Coronation Medal 1911. It is in a huge NGC slab- about 6 x 8 inches. I could eat a large dinner on it. Medal is graded MS-65BN and is 51mm AE. i will get around to doing pics soon and will share.
i would love to see more of your collection. Victoria is great. She reigned about 40 years and all her images are classy.

Quote: She reigned about 40 years ... Oooh, major undercount! The two medals above commemorate the golden jubilee which stands for 50 years on the throne, and then she reigned for 14 more years. But, yeah, I might usurp this thread with my medals. Hopefully other folks will share theirs.

Nice medal, yarm! Another effigy of Victoria I'm not familiar with. But let's sprinkle her with other royals. Here's the earliest monarch I have in my medal collection,

I only moved house this week, so a lot of my files are hard to find right now. There's at least another 100 pictures to come, probably a whole lot more.

alganbagerap, I'd love to see all your medals, but pace yourself, don't unload tons at one time. We may want to comment/discuss a piece. Here's my Investiture of the Prince of Wales medal
