The rules:

1. If you can count to ten you can play, the more players the merrier!
Minorities are encouraged to (ap)play!

2. Out of 170 currencies listed below, given by their code name, I'll pick a combination of ten distinct currencies in a particular order.

3. You can post 10 currencies, no repetition within a single guess allowed, and I'll give you feedback on it and tell you how many currencies in your guess are correct, and how many of them are in correct places. If you make a mistake/typo make a new corrected post, do not edit your submissions.

For example if the winning combination is: FBI, KGB, CIA, IOU, LSD, ICU, AAA, AKA, BMW, FDR,
and your guess is CIA, ETC, DMV, IOU, BMW, LSD, AAA, NBA, KGB, STD,
my reply would be 6/2 for you got six items correctly with two of them in the right spot.

4. Everybody gets three guesses a day, one guess in a single post, day determined by the forum clock. The "day" will reset at 10 pm. If you guessed 3 times just before 10:00, after 10 you can guess again. There's no rollovers, if you missed a chance to post three guesses today, there's no additional guesses tomorrow. You can submit guesses at any time but it may make better sense to wait till I reply to the pending guess.

"Final Guess" clause: This could be posted at any time and it ends the game for you. If you get the winning combo it'll end the game for everyone! (It makes sense to use your "Final Guess" option if you have run out of your allowed three guesses for the day but you believe you know the winning combination.) The post shall contain the phrase "Final Guess".

"Antisniping" clause: After 7 correct currencies have appeared in a single guess, regardless of their position, no new entrants will be honored.

"Weavus Rule" clause: Wisecrack comments are mandatory by both players and bystanders. In case you guessed the winning ten but you hadn't made a wisecrack remark you will be ineligible for the prize!

5. To win this game you'll have to name the 10 chosen currencies in the correct places (get the feedback of 10/10).

We'll start tomorrow, Thursday, March 1, at 10 pm.

Hey Weavus......... there are 2 ways to look at this:

#1 If you beat us, don't go bragging because you beat people that were not a challenge to beat
#2 If we beat you, then you are not as smart as you think you are

So, there!

OH, by the way.......... your boss called. He wants you to go to Mexico for about 3 weeks (without your internet gadgets) to do some secret work. We should have all of this under control by then, I hope.

so in all seriousness, there are many good players of this game including our host. I'm not one to doubt anyone's ability to win this game. This is all in fun and I'm not worried about losing - I can take that ribbing too. If I win, great. If I lose, it was fun. Both scenarios work for me.

I am also kidding and just having fun, Weavus. This is going to be a fun game!

We are not out to get you. Everyone here is going to have a good time.

I am good at some things and not-so-good at other things. BUT...I am a great "tracker" and can find you and hunt you down. That is just if I have to later on. So relax and have fun............until then.

From past experience I doubt this contest will survive through the weekend (meaning it'll be over before next workweek).
