I have a 1 ounce Koala, but it is a 1991 platinum coin from the Perth Mint. I bought it way back in 1991.

That's disappointing. Probably because it was not very popular/profitable for them..... :(

If they are ending the series then I would need 2007, 2009, 2010, & 2012 to complete the series. These are quite hard to find in the State as not many people collect or have these here.....

I have been able to get a 2007 1 ounce 999 silver Koala from the Macquarie Mint some time ago. Actually, my parents obtained it and then passed it onto me Presentation is not as nice as ADMISLSE's example. Pics attached. Squire

The series is nice. But yes, you right, format is different.
I collect koala series, but for me the coin is much more important. Haven't done it with Koala (managed to get coins only - no card - from 2007-2013), but several times separated Kangaroo and Kiwi (NZ)coin from the card...

for me, both card and coin are equally important, especially the koala carded from Perth Mint becuase Perth Mint struck same koala coins for bullion sells and only the card make the difference.

You right, in this case the card plays the role of the special package with COA. Just for me was important the same display way, as for other coins, so I would prefer un-carded encapsulated coin.
I collect them as 'collectible' coins and not as investment items, and like the Koala series.

found mintage numbers for 2011 - 11865 almost double 2009 got popular and then they stopped the series .This would be a hard series to collect if you havn't got the early ones like 2007 and 2010.On the bay at the moment a 2007 is for sale at $299.95

Hello @ADMISLSE and others: For the RAM coins released in cards, do you know if the packaging is air tight?
I have a 2013 crocodile Bindi coin in card, the packaging look good, but I wonder if the plastic around the coin is really air tight? Do I need to take additional care when displaying and storing these carded coins? Any information or experience would be appreciated. Thanks.

It looks like Air-tite, but do not seems to be. Due to the fact that I've opened the Kangaroo and Kiwi cards (in order to put the coin to the capsule), so I didn't stored them carded for more then 10 months. But I saw some carded Britannias - they all toned on the edges. So actually mine examples refer to The Royal Mint and Perth and not RAM, but still...

shopaholic, the package from Perth is much better than RAM, it will no problem for international postage, RAM's package is ok, but can't vouch for it, specially carded ones.
