OK, I'm stumped. Forgetting the punk hairdo (mineral deposit I think), can someone here tell me what this coin is. I have tried for two days. I got it along with four other coins to ID, three of which have been easy. The fourth there is no legend remaining, so I think impossible to attribute. But this one has some interesting details. It's a provincial, but that is all I have so far. Any and all help is appreciated.

Regards,

Thanks Giano and Randygeki. You both put me on the right track. It is a Trajan Procincial from the Tabae region of Caria. I posted this same question on Forum Ancient Coins and got the following answer:

"Trajan is correct, and the city is Tabae, with a Demeter reverse. Here are two other examples, which may well be from the same die pair as your coin, although this isn't the easiest to tell:

I'm assuming BMC 75 and SNG.Cop:560 are the attributions, but I haven't been able to locate these yet only in the above acsearch.

Thanks to all for all your help.
