1973 1978 Quarter With No Mint Marks

Fuzzy317 Moderator United States 14463 Posts	Posted 03/24/2012 04:10 am I don't know the numbers per mint facility, but there may be years more dominate from one facility or the other. On a slightly different thought, in 1922 all cents were made at the Denver mint. Some may be missing the MM due to bad dies. The low mintage of SF and WP coins is one of the reasons that mint marks were not used. The mint did not want the coins to be collected, they wanted them to circulate. Report this Post to the Staff
