Well, I guess it won't be quite as big as I hoped for, but I did hit a 3+1 for $150.

Quote:I could finally obtain my Trade dollar (possibly an 1884) and fill the other holes in my 7070, I mentioned that I have some holes I want to fill first, the Trade dollar for the 7070 being one of them.

Well, I bought a bag of halves from the bank, and found a large cent. It may have been an 1854. Felt like I had hit the lottery.

I call that a win. Nice find.

That is a win. I know it's late to the game, but with that kind of money, I would get a complete set of U.S. Three Cent coins. And by a complete set, I'm thinking I would try to own every coin.

After giving it some serious thought I was only able to narrow my list of 8 down to 2. 1. 1943 Copper LWC. 2. Brutus Denarius Eid Mar variety.

I would probably start a collection of 14th 15th and 16th century gold coins. Ancient coins amaze me, if only I had the extra spare cash

I thought about this a bit during the big lottery. The first thing I'd do is to set up a nonprofit numismatic charity with myself in control, and then donate my winnings to it. Why, you ask? That way I could be the idiot who donated my winnings to charity which would make everyone think I was poor. Most of them wouldn't realize that I'd get a HUGE tax return the following year, which would still leave me with a third of the money in my personal accounts.
Being the CEO of the numismatic charity, I could set up offices in all my favorite places and probably not have to pay property taxes. I could travel the world buying neat coins while the charity paid my way along with a nice salary, company car, and all the other perks a CEO needs...but best of all it would ensure that my in-laws would never get the chance to squabble over my coin collection!
...and yeah, I'd probably buy ALL of my favorite coin. :-)))
