Hi keldaw, it's always better to start a new thread, with a helpful title, if you want to attract the attention of people who might know the answer. I split this off, gave it a title, and moved it to ID Required for you.

As for the piece, I can only assume its some kind of Bridge Club prize medal. The name seems to be "Morton Institutes League Winners". Sorry, but I have no idea if such a club still exists, or even if its an Australian or foreign piece.

sap , thanks for doing that ,much better , I know it is from england and was won in a bridge game final by my step mother, my dad gave it to me when she died ,.
i took it to a bullion buyer 12 years ago and he offered me $ 40.00 for it ,.. last octomber I went to the shopping centre in morayfield near caboolture , I showed to the gold buyer who had a stand in the center isle . offer was $ 57.00 . I still have it in my posession ,,. thanks again for your help ..
