Curious About 5-Pack Of 1961 Canada 1 Cent In Cellophane

ikandiggit Pillar of the Community Canada 1166 Posts	Posted 04/04/2012 08:07 am It is quite possible it was a premium in a product like cereal or laundry soap or something like that. Back in the day, it wasn't unusual for companies to promote their products by including money (coins) or even dinnerware or towels etc.. It would be difficult to determine in which product this was actually used in unless you could find one that was intact with the promotion on the box or package. Report this Post to the Staff

I remember as a kid in the early 60s I think it was quik or one of the other chocalate powders put them in there tins I was always bugging my parents and grandparents to buy the stuff so I could get these prizes.
