I spent 2 on turnpike tolls the other day, then 1 at the grocery store today, then 2 more at the coin show. No one even blinks at dollar coins anymore, and no one complains either. When I spent 3 $2 bills at the Greek food festival the other day, the lady at the register made a comment that she had not seen these in a long time. I love it!

$99,119 to go.

Found two at work, sent them back into the wild. First time in a LONG time I've heard "What the [you know where] is this?" "That is a dollar coin." "It's legal?" She was so confused, but then receptive. I love my regulars. <3

$99 108!

I spent a total of 12 today, here's the distribution:

*Nine at the post office for stamps. After I collected my pack of Forevers, I overheard the clerk say that he has gotten so many dollar coins that he can't afford to just hang onto them anymore (meaning he'll spend them or deposit/cash them at the bank).
*Two at a UPS Store location to buy a miniature box, which will be used to send back a rented textbook.
*One at Dunkin Donuts for breakfast.

$99,096 to go.

Just one today, but the kid who gave it to me (I handed it back out) had a second one in his pocket change! Can we count that one, too?

$99 092 if not, $99 091 if so. (Hey, it is in circulation, not my fault his purchase was only $1.01 and he had a penny . . . )

From what my limited math skills and I can figure we should have 100K by about october 2023. I bet if they kill the bill that could be cut down by about 75%.

I spent six on a lotto ticket and a dessert at Dairy Queen.

$99,086 to go (The count goes down only if you facilitate the circulation, not if it's already in the wild).

Spent $3 on volleyball last night.

$99,083 to go.

Forecast Date = 03/16/24
I use Excel to calculate the forecast date. Here is the formula:

=(TODAY()-$B$2)/(($A$2-A5)/$A$2)+$B$2

A2 = Starting # (100,000)
B2 = Starting Date (4/6/12)
A5 = Current # (99,083). Update this value with the latest count.

Here is what mine looks like (The item in blue is what I change each time and the formula is in the cell with the green text):

Starting # Starting Date
100,000 4/6/2012

Current # Forecast Date
99,083 03/16/24
