nelson9225 Valued Member 270 Posts	Posted 04/12/2012 3:43 pm HI Nelson again I also have an 1814 coin with a skinny eagle on the reverse with arrows and a branch in each claw and on the obverse it has what looks like hibernia surrounded by a wreath. on the obverse it also says half penny token. any ideas? thanks for everything sincerely Nelson * Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. * Report this Post to the Staff

Even though it is an imitation, it is collected along with other Canadian colonials. J.E. Charlton, a renowned Canadian Colonial token authority, gave Charlton numbers to all of the known tokens. The Charlton number of this token is either LC-54C1 or LC-54C2, depending on whether or not the shield that the seated figure is sitting on is the Large or Small variety. Kind of worn, but it looks to be the Large variety. Both are valued about the same, $6-$10 (prices from a very old book!) Report this Post to the Staff
