It was graded MS64RD by PCGS, having said that grading doesn't matter much to me as I don't plan on selling it for a very long time as the 1911-36 Penny design is a personal favourite of mine and I like the idea that 100 years on you can still get a coin exactly the same as it would have looked fresh out of a cash register 100 years earlier.
I won't say how much I paid for it but fair to say it was in the hundred's, but less than $1,000.

Oure right, the one from Universal Coin co is ugly. He usually gets everything high end slabbed so I'm sure he sent this off and had it slab badly so cracket it out. The first link isn't bad but not as nice as dcoins as you said. He has got his hands on a ripper thats for sure.

I have been known to have a bit of a when some nice grades come back. However I've also had occasion to when PCGS doesn't agree with me.

Markn, Those penny,s are fantastic. They are the sort/grade of coin us small time collectors aspire to. I can understand why you are keeping them.

Nice coins juzzyb The dollar coins are nearly as hard to collect as the 50 cent coins and with some great designs And mostly without the insane prices as a great deal of your collection can come from noodling

That is the good thing about this hobby juzzyb, you can still get good stuff even if you have'nt got pocket fulls of cash, when I'm broke I buy low value errors just so I'm still adding something to my collection. I received this one in the mail a couple days ago,the reverse is a bit gunky but still a very nice off centre struck penny.
