Quote: Hi trout. I am glad that Peter provided quality coins to you. From my experience I have found that Peter has a nice variety of coins. I think that his prices are quite good, compared to other coin dealers around Melbourne .
I hope his "Aussie silver" 1954 Royal Visit Commemorative Florins will live up to your expectations
Squire
These arrived while I was away working. All have full lustre , some are a bit "baggy". One has an issue with a Cud at the top of the Queens head. All in all I am happy with these, Not perfect but at least these are aUNC and not cleaned like most of these sold on ebay lately. I suspect these came from a mint roll.

Trout the patch at the top of the Queen's head/hair looks rough and incuse like it might be a strike through oil or grease. Is it incuse or raised?

Just had a good look PP, and it is incuse Must have taken a hit with something but I have no idea what. It could have been something stuck on the die when minted, the area still has lustre. Or it could just simply be PMD.

That is not PMD trout. It's most likely struck through oil. It might be a peel as AC suggested but it doesn't have the look of a peel.

When I get back from this work trip I will have to send it to the Cud queen ninja Once nancyc sees this in hand she will be able to define the error/damage in a heart beat

I agree with most of this, but I think that struck through oil areas would not have such angular edges. I think there was something quite hard on the die, like a chunk of metal.
