Is this just PMD? There isn't a double ear for 1982 correct?

There is no double ear for '82 that I know of. Looks PMD to me.

That one took a hit...but just because a doubled ear hasn't been found, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.Remember that the 1988 doubled ear was just discovered last year and it was a huge ear.

Pretty precise for a PMD Hit I think.
Might want to look at it closer. You never know.
Whether a DD or strike issue.

The coin took a hit at the bottom of the ear-lobe.

i thought it was a pretty exact placement if it took a hit too, wondering what coppercoins or coop have to say?

Take away the mark in the middle of the lobe and all you have is a normal size ear...that's all you need to do.A doubled die would make the ear larger. And hits happen in this spot a lot more often than people realize.
