I have come across some early Ike dollars that exibit signs of toning. I didn't know that clad coins can tone.

Has anyone seen anything like this?

All coins can tone... The different metals go through the chemical process differently though...

Clad coins will tone. I have toned ikes as well, and they came straight from sealed mint sets.
