Just a simple question, where does everyone buy their proof sets, besides the bay? I get all the new ones from the mint, but I need some of the older ones from the 60's, 70's and early 80's. Does anyone know where to get these at reasonable proces?

thanks
G

I have done searches on the internet and have had good luck finding dealers who sell proof sets at reasonable prices. Sometimes you have to search a few pages before you find a good price. Its the best way to compare prices.

At one flea market I go to there is a dealer that always has older proof sets. And they are really cheap. At one coin show I go to there is a dealer that has several tables of proof sets. Almost any you could possibly ever want.

Every coin show that I go to has 1 or more dealers selling proof sets, including the silver sets from the late 50's or 60's and modern sets. They are pretty common. Any I don't usually buy the current one from the mint either. I get it from a local dealer who sells it for the mint's price without the shipping charge.
