When I use the Search near the top of most every CCF page, it takes me here ....
http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/search.asp

If I click on that button, and want to find a post I recall reading, but don't remember exactly where it was, sometimes I get too large a result.

For example, just a random example ... Suppose I remember seeing something about a Maximillan Teutonic Knights thaler posted by mysilveryears.
Yes I get a result, but I have as of this date 81 pages to read and this post falls on page 72.

I wish that the search result would go an extra step and go to the page it is on rather than the topic. Better yet, what if I don't remember who posted the words I insert in Search for:
and wanted to know who had posted about something I wanted to re-visit?

Could the search be a bit less demanding and work with less input?
Such as just the Search for words or just the members name who posted.

Could the results be more specific as to which page it is, rather than a long topic thread?

Thanks for pondering this.

I went back and tried just the Search for: Maximillan Teutonic Knights thaler
and it worked anyway. So that is a good thing. No need to answer that one. The Google search button shown in grey did not find the topic for those key words.

When I tried your search I only got one thread with all of its pages listed, not an individual page.

I hope they will improve the search engine.
