I am having a little trouble placing a grade on this 1917-S Type II Standing Liberty quarter. Your help is appreciated!

I would say F-12.

Still a newbie opinion, but F12 seems to match up with the book description. The only thing that worries me is the wear on the date.

I am thinking more along the lines of VG-8/10. Maybe just a tad bright but it is still nice.

I was gonna say VG8/10 but the rims are nice enough to go F12.
