This one really went under the radar I found because of all the hype over the dinosaur and the other bumblebee.

@Elkslayer: Do you think the 25-cent bumble bee will be able to command double the issue price on ebay in the near future? I have never tried making money from my hobby, but I might down the road.

Once the big dealers sell out I can see this one going for at least double the issue price. As soon as the mint puts up the sold out sign this one is going to pick up fast I just put in an order for 20 more of them. Any profit I make selling coins goes back into my building own collection.

On a related note, does anyone know the final mintage on the ladybug quarter?

It was 'produced to demand' rather than having a defined mintage and it is still available at issue price.

Thanks Elkslayer, for the reply. I should have bought several glow-in-the-dark dinos. Right now, they are going for more than double the price.
The Mint is pumping out so many different coins these days, it's hard to keep up due to my limited budget. But if I could make some money out of this hobby, then it helps.

CC-Ottawa: that's a good question. I would like to know it too.

Do you think the future sold out of this 25 cent bee will bring up the price of the 25 cent tulip? In that case, I would keep a close eye on that, as well.

That's what I'm thinking. The ladybug was packaged differently and had an open mintage, but it was 5 dollar cheaper at issue.

If the series continues, the ladybug may appreciate.

Price-wise, I only found the Kitchener dealer lists the tulip at $29.95 and all others at issue. But I couldn't find the mintage. I guess it isn't far from 20,000, from where the mintage of the bee came. Or it could be around 10,000, considering the mintage of the silver version has doubled.

People are trying to figure out what the final mintage was. The mint has them marked as sold out, so I assume they're not minting anymore. So maybe someone from the mint could come on here and tell us the final mintage for the ladybug. Since they're watching everything we do.

Oh yeah, haha, that would make sense. Well considering it's been out for so long, I would imagine it's passed the 20k mark on the bumble bee. Still available on Canadapost and all the other websites too.

CC-Ottawa: I thought you already started hoarding ladybug quarters and jelly beans to make special combo, here is the stamp you may find handy
