If you want to lay that kind of money (which I think would be excessive), go for it. HOWEVER, there are several people here on the forum who have obtained satisfactory results with smaller, less expensive USB Microscopes. Here is an example of the S/S mint-mark on my 1875-S Twenty Cent Piece using my Dino-Lite USB microscope (there are several less expensive models available);
The problem with low cost microscopes is they do not have any lighting control built in. The dino ones do but cost more. Also the low cost ones don't have a white balance. John1
I guess I will keeping my Dino-Lite afterall. I also like the static touch sensor trigger on the body, no fumbling around with the mouse to take images.
