I found a few LWC's in my yard and they were just below the surface in real good shape for being in the ground. I will upload some pictures after I clean a few unreadable ones. RJrelics New Member United States 36 Posts	Posted 05/10/2012 09:07 am chzman a great way to clean up wheats and indians is hydrogen peroxide. Simply let you're coin sit in the peroxide for about 30 minutes then gently scrape it with a wooden toothpick or even preferably a thorn. It may take repeated dips in the peroxide to come clean. fistfulladirt Pillar of the Community United States 4333 Posts	Posted 05/18/2012 7:48 pm Nice oldie! I have used hydrogen peroxide to loosen corrosion on old cents. Peroxide will darken the coin so be forewarned. If you use an olive oil soak be sure to neutralize the oil as it is an acidic organic which may damage the coin over time.
