here in N.C. a bag of 10 Ike's could go for as much as $100
At a Louisville/Southern Indiana small time auction I saw ten(10) non-silver Ikes get bid up to $13 each: $ 130
The seller told me that he also received almost $ 9 each at the last auction preceding this most recent one.
I think this phenomenon has everything to do with the fact that Ikes are typically not available to trade in everyday common cash transactions unlike nickels, dimes, and quarters.
The key would be to auction them off in a type of auction not specifically geared toward attracting coin buyers etc.
$ 130 for 10 Ikes is nothing more than a display of uneducated emotional buying in the heat of a hotly contested bidding war.
