Not the second highest known, but 2nd best among the ones we have been hunting. The 2012 ICCS pop report has a single mint state example report (a whopping MS-66). I suspect now is a good time to sell, as more of these are popping out of the woodwork...

Thanks everyone. Those Newfie Pennies are incredible. What did they grade? Love the toning on the 1941 and the 1913 looks as struck.

Thanks. The toned 1941 was graded at MS 63 by the seller. He figured the Toning was from being at the end of the bank roll. The 1913 was ICCS graded as MS 64 but the seller had been told by a few others to resubmit for an MS 65 which he was going to do but I bought it

Love the bulls-eye toning on that 1941 NFLD cent. I recall you being jealous of our purchases at the Coin Expo in June; I am glad you made it out to the RCNA, I hope it was all we hyped coin shows to be...

I didn't have enough time when I finally made it up there. I went on Sunday and a few had already packed up and left. Next time I go I will either need a full day or divide it over 2 days. And not leave it until the last day. I'm still gun shy about buying stuff since my education on grading is non existent. I usually stick to graded coins but the toned one had my eye. I hope he was not misleading me with the MS63. He seemed fair and honest.
People there are like vultures. They push you out of the way and hoard everything. I might wear shoulder pads next time.

The 1913 is probably a 65. Very nice with not a single notch on the rims. Register for the show and do your serious shopping from 9 to 10 before the show opens to the public. Not all dealers will be at their table, and some will be looking at other tables but you definitely don't need elbow pads at that time. Friday and Saturday did not seem too busy to me because the weather was too nice and many were enjoying the outside. I left around noon Sunday after drooling over the "Collector to Collector" table of errors extraordinaire for a lot of Saturday and most of Sunday AM!

Zonad Was that the guy who had numerous errors priced into the thousands? I looked quickly and ran to what I could afford. Lol.
So if I were to resubmit for a higher grade do I send it like it is and tell them my thoughts or do I take it out of the package?
