Day 11 1787 Ryder 12 over Nova Constellatio Sorry for the bad picture. This is the hardest to get all the details on. t360 your Voce Populi is awesome. You are correct that looks like a 228. Great looking Halfpenny Vermontensium. That one definiatally has some history to it.

Day 12 1760 Voce Populi Nelson 10 XF Got this one at the ANA show too. Cipster that halfpenny is very cool. Is that a before and after picture freeing it from its cage? Vermontensium next time I find one i'll sell the Ryder 12 to you. Its one that I might have to send to someone to get a better picture.

Thanks! One of my favorites. Both the Halfpenny and Farthing, have a reeded edge. There are Farthings in silver, and one unique in gold, thought to be a presentation piece. Colonial Numismatists are not quite sure which one circulated in West New Jersey, but it's believed the Halfpenny did, as a few examples have been found by archeologists at Colonial sites.

Wouldnt that mean that the Farthing was the circulated one if they found more then the Halfpenny?

I can't believe what I'm seeing. My forum name should probably be ColonialRookie. Thanks so much for posting coins that I've never seen or imagined. CoinDog and vermontensium and others -
