Looks like I might be able to squeeze in a 3rd guess tonight (12:00)  My options are still out there... this has been one fun contest that's for sure!

Time for an explanation! The coin pictured in my avatar is NOT a Cameroon 1 franc piece, but a REUNION ISLAND 1 Franc that happens to be a mule error. First rare coin I ever got actually. And no I was saving my guess for something a little more difficult.

Quite a few French possessions got coins issued in 1948 with the same obverse. Including several African colonies and St.Pierre & Miquelon in N.America.
