I got a 1909-1940 Wheat cent folder for $2. I'll be happy if I get one of everything with a mintage above 10 million in any condition. I'm filling in expensive key dates with BU 2012 Canadian pennies to avoid future disappointment,

I am doing 1909 to date non proof.
I need 15 more (not going to get a 1922 no D)
Luckily 4 are common date wheats and another is a 1970 S small date which I hope to find these roll hunting.
So that only leaves 10 high dollar coins and the 1910S, 1912S, and 1915S are not to outrageously expensive and the 1931 D is pretty affordable so if I really felt the need to fill some holes I could cut it down to 7 coins rather quickly and affordably.

I love cents - the former keystone of commerce. Started with the Lincolns and have a complete set, waiting on the 2013's. I took this "cent thing" to another level and completed a set of Indians and now am down to three holes in the Large Cent Whitman Classic (Year Set). I think those holes will remain - 1793, 1799, and 1804. It's been a blast though!

Paleoguy, I'd love to see them Indians :) My IHC is still has 4 empty holes and everything is vg at best. And might stay that way for a while. So your cent collection is complete from 1805 to present?

I haven't heard/seen many members mentioning about the IHC series until now...... Almost thought I'm alone..... hahaha. @Luvpennys, which are your empty holes (1908S)?

@Luvpennies... I just finished the Indians and yes.... the Large Cents have no holes after 1804 (album-wise and coin-wise ). I DID try a Dansco set and got so frustrated with it (some of their holes don't exist!) that I took a step back and went for a year set instead. I defy someone to figure out those late thirties varieties!!

Sa4h, 71,72,77 and 09s. Maybe we need to do a IHC post? As for figuring the large cents, ha! This is supposed to be fun. I just love to finish a collection. My coins are not premo. But all dimes from 1916 to present. All haves from 1916 to 63. Short 5 small ยข from 1857 to present. Missing two Washington quarters from 32 to 98. I'm thinking of doing a Half Cent from 49 to 57 because I already have two coins. Might do them in slabs, because I have a display idea I want to build.

Lots of amateur experience that turned into coin collecting when I figured out that lugging an album of wheaties was much less stressful on the body that large rocks over the river and through the woods...

started collecting wheaties since 1963 as a paperboy. almost all found in circulation except keys. missing 10S (currently working on), 14D and 22Pl. using an older whitman folder with slide-outs and it goes to 1940.

man if you didnt start collecting wheat a long time ago, you are in for a difficult time, considering that you only get 8-10 per box now!
