I received my hard copy Heritage Auction catalogs for the Philadelphia auction ... and indeed this outstanding find is listed as Lot #3444 on Page 51 of what I call the 'regular' auction catalog.

Hoping the following insight does not throw any wet water on the collective enthusiasm for this great coin find ...

Heritage publishes two separate catalogs for every major auction ... and they decide what they consider to be the 'best' coins and place them into one "Platinum Night" catalog.

The "Platinum Night" is always the last day of the auction .... in this case Friday August 4th.

This coin is listed in the 'regular' catalog ... Session 1 which goes under the hammer on August 2nd.

Session 1 is for sure the 'best' of the regular catalog lots ... but I normally pay attention only to the Platinum Night lots.

Still believe this coin with Heritage visibility will garner some tremendous bids.

I'll be watching.

This auction ends on 01 August? Is this a normal duration for Heritage auctions?

It's a signature auction which is once a month. There are also weekly online-only auctions which last about a week and have items ending on Sunday and Tuesday.
