My father found this coin in 1940 in Bermuda. I have searched everywhere to the best of my abilities and cannot find one like it. I have asked around and no one seems to know what it is. Please help me to find out what this coin is and what it is worth. This is my final effort. It is black and has a capital G engraved in the center of both sides. Each side has four arrows surrounding the G. However, one side has the arrows pointing to the east and the other sidef has the arrows pointing in a north north westerly direction.

Thank you valdiman. You have already told me more than anyone else was able to. I don't know if this information will help but Bermuda is said to have been founded by the Spanish sometime in the 1600's (I think) and was later settled and claimed by the British. New information also leads many to think Bermuda was first discovered by the Portuguese but never claimed. SO I figured a good place to start searching was within those three but I was never able to find it. Bermuda being located where it is, the coin or token could be from anywhere and from any age. I suppose it could even be the product of a bored engraver testing his new tools on a worthless piece of copper or bronze or whatever it is.

I'm fairly sure that those are Broad Arrow marks, which were used to mark government property in the UK and its empire and colonies, including Bermuda.

Thank you alganbagerap. I think you may be right. I've done a little research (through Google search engine) since reading your post and although I haven't yet come across any coins or tokens exactly like mine, there are many others that have the exact same "Broad Arrows" on them in various different combinations. At least you have given me what seems to be a good direction to travel in my quest. Much appreciated.
