Appears authentic from what I can see in the small photos ... there are some know die markers that we can examine only with better photos.

The coin as shown is IMHO AU53RB - AU55RB.

This should be posted in the "Modern US" coins grading forum.

Looking forward to what others have to say.

I was bidding on a storage locker that had some guitar cases in them. 6 cases, 2 I could see looked like Les Paul cases, the other 4 were generic hard shell cases. There were also some pottery pieces and a paramedic bag. The guitar cases weren't full of guitars, they were full of Morgans, Peace dollars, Mercurys and a ton of BU rolls of Roosevelts. The one jug, which is easily a 4 gallon container, was filled to the top with silver Washington quarters. There was a lot of foreign currency and fractional bills, too. The only coins I ever collected were Indian Heads, but I love guitars.

So I guess I can buy a few nice guitars now. Sorry to have put this in the wrong category and I thank the board admin for moving it. I'll get more shots of some of the other rare stuff I found eventually.

There was also Maundy money, something I'd never seen. There were several sets of them, one I gave to my best friend, an 1875 set UNC, for his birthday. There was a lot of Victorian coins and I gave them all to him.

So whats this 1955 DD worth?

The coin is AU and if genuine it's worth a lot. However, it looks suspect to me. I cannot pinpoint it with the small pictures but it just doesn't look quite right. I would 100% send that in to PCGS for grading.
