Quote: 1s that birth-year set 1984?
1986. I got this folder in a box from an auction that had several random folders, and this one had the biggest variety, so I started filling it up with what I had. So really, it was what got me started collecting seriously.

Nice set I'm working on the more ambitious version of the 20th century set. Whitman's 9139 Album. I'm 3 coins shy of cpmpleting. I need the 09 VDB the type I standing liberty and the type I Ike.

If you had the time and the access to the coins easily, would make fantastic Christmas Presents.

Congratulations on completing your set! I have mine in a Littleton folder. Appears yours is a Whitman.
I just have to get my birth year half dollar and mine will be done. Been putting it off and putting it off. Should just get it and be done with it...

Congrats on completing a milestone! I'm working on one that means nothing to anyone but me. My father left me a Jefferson nickel collection. I'm working on filling in all the blanks until the year that he died. Like you, I am trying to get everything I need out of circulation. Once again, congrats on your accomplishment and best wishes going forward!

that folder looks allot more obtainable to just about everyone than the Dansco7070 album. Even if you get low grade coins for the dansco you will still have quite a bit more cash tied up in the whole album than some people can afford. I myself love the 7070 albums but I think either of those type sets look good as well and is still an accomplishment you can be proud of when finished Quote: I love these, when you show them to kids, they can't believe they made coins like that. lot of history I believe that is the best part of the type set. Its not only kids either, there are some adults that has never seen nor heard of a Large Cent, 3¢ or a 20¢ piece

Great Job!
I am working on a type set too. My wife doesn't understand the whole "collecting every date and mint mark thing" but when I showed here what I have on the type set... she said... now thats cool!
