I have 3 big albums containing British Banknotes, world banknotes, American Banknotes, then coins albums for British coins, American coins, Australian coins and world coins. Then 2 albums (first and last Euro with old currency proofs of each countries coins and a banknote then the Euro coins each country produced) and an album full of phonecards so thats 10 albums, then I have 3 velvet boxes which contain 32 silver ounce coins each, then I have odd boxes containing things like Silver proof sets, proof sets, maundy sets, gold proofs.
I don't have space to display everything but in album form it is easy to look through. Looking at the ways people display their collections makes me jealous :P The silver looks really good laid out, but anyone coming in my house would assume that I have lots of photos because having so many albums in a row on the bottom shelf of my bookcase does make it look like photo albums. My other stuff is tucked away.

Looking good BiBo! I see a few in there that are still awaiting delivery, soon would be fine with me!
@commems Nice to know that my all Mahogany dresser has more than one use, now where am I going to my pants since I will have to make room?
@coincollect1 Those acrylic stands by airtite are a good deal, I went to the local plastics shop and they want $2.50 a piece for those! Welcome to small town Canada, eh? It's time to make an order for those, they display the coins really well.

 That shelf has quite a bow to it. I would definately look at adding another support in the middle of that shelf. |

The top shelf is starting to bow now that I'm getting more coins. Just bought '68 to '98 run of Proof Sets so there will be even more weight soon. I've been thinking about adding a center support bracket. You may be able to see the support brackets in about a foot each way from the sides. I think I left out the center one for esthetic reasons and when I built the shelves my collection was much smaller.

That sounds much easier and less involved lol. I wish I had somewhere more accessible for more modest collection. Right now everything is in an old shoebox up in my closet. Real hassle when I want to go through things. |
