You can take action by leaving poor scores for shipping or even leaving a negative feedback.

In my opinion, ebay forcing the use of paypal is wrong. If a seller does not want to accept paypal, that should be up to them. It is just a transparent money grab by ebay. Edit: You hsve done sonething you know the seller does not want... Maybe you should contact them and try to sort out something so everyone is happy.

It may be a money grab but other than a bank transfer what do you have that either doesn't cost the same or more (Western Union for example) or you have to supply all your credit card details in order to use. Me I'll stick to pay pal thank you it is fast safe and efficient The sellers DO NOT have to use pay pal and I buy regular off one seller that doesn't use pay pal and I pay via direct bank transfer. The only problem with this is there is no redress and you have to be able to trust the seller.

As I said I did not realise until after I had paid, the buyer should have choices too & sellers should not be aloud to delay sending the item because of my payment choice, the payment is instant. Paypal has saved my a..e a few times in the past & he is happy to accept the paypal payments from overseas buyers, what is the difference ?

Pay with paypal anyway, I bought a coin off of him and paid that way with no issue. The seller is flirting with ebay's rules with his listings and could easily see all of them removed. Yes paypal is a blatant fee grab by ebay, but it's their site and they make the rules. Where else as a selller can you get such cheap access to such a huge market?

I have purchased a number of coins off this seller (just won another lot yesterday). Trout is right about the commemorative florins being treated as junk (on some of the lots he won I had put in bids around bullion price). Bidding at bullion price gets me lots of bullion grade coins (naturally); but still plenty of wins of high grade coins at below spot (a few months ago I bid on a lot of shillings that had a crappy photo, so I bid below spot, won them and when they arrived I found there were 2 1946 shillings that were aUnc and both had that lovely dot).
