This extravaganza starts on the 18th of June!  How does this work?  Starting the 18th of June, we all post pictures of our 1793 Large Cents (if you're lucky enough to have one!!)!! Yes, all varieties, errors, and mint marks!!And then, on the 19th of June, we all post pictures of our 1794 Large Cents, and so on, and so on, through the 22nd of August when we post pictures of our 1857 Large Cents!!  Proposed schedule:18 June: 1793 19 June: 1794 20 June: 1795 21 June: 1796 22 June: 1797 23 June: 1798 24 June: 1799 25 June: 1800 26 June: 1801 27 June: 1802 28 June: 1803 29 June: 1804 30 June: 1805 1 July: 1806 2 July: 1807 3 July: 1808 4 July: Take the U S A Independence Day off! 5 July: 1809 6 July; 1810 7 July: 1811 8 July: 1812 9 July: 1813 10 July: 1814 11 July: Since no 1815 Large Cents were minted... Sad I have no large cents to show off. Well I have 1, but it is dateless so I don't know where it would fit it.

nod2003, since IndianGoldEagle is correct, that no 1815 Large Cents were made, why not post your no date on July 11?  Edited by Fuzzy317

I am so looking forward to this thread. I have to complete my Peace dollar set in PCGS MS-63 only and then I am on to collecting Large Cents. I really got exceited about them a couple of months ago at a coin show, up until then I thought they were a waste of time. |

Excellent idea on the "No Date" day! Question: Would copy/replicas be allowed, if properly identified? I have a few (replicas) that could be "gawked at". Edited by oih82w8
