I came across about 6 or 7 of these in my last noodling session of $40 of 2 cent pieces and I was wondering if the have any actual value because they seem pretty common by the amount that I managed to come across.

I was thinking if they aren't worth anything they might be worth keeping around to put up for trades on here.

In the 19th edition of Maccas, only 2 values are given:
Unc: $170.00
Choice Unc: $180.00

If they're regular circulated and fairly beat up, they may only be worth 20c, but if they're in good nick, they may attract a premium.

You did very well finding them amongst 2 cent pieces LOL
I have found with a lot of these coins, that at first glance they appear to be 3.5 claw Canadian mint when in fact they are Wales mint.
Canadian coins MUST have all the features,(quoting from maccas, "first claw a blunted half claw,Platypus has large open nostrils. On obverse, text is flat, bases are curved on some letters.Queen has strong eyebrow hair lines."

I have sold a number of these coins on ebay and they have varied from .99c to $15,depending on the day.
