Here's my find...primarily Canadian paper...and some coins.

I received an e-mail earlier this afternoon from a person in charge of the currency cage at a major bank in Vancouver.  He keeps an eye out for coins, etc, but then told me if I was interested in older bills.  I said... "Sure!"  Anyhow, he told me that he has $78 of Canadian notes and coins, but it was primarily notes.  I was not expecting much thinking it was the 1970's $1 bills, etc. so I went to pick up the lot. I was stunned to see what I got.  Take a look at the photos.  This is my best paper money find ever and all at face value!  All notes range from UNC to GEM UNC in the first photo!  In the coins, got $1 1958 silver dollar (in second photo with some circulated $1 notes).  My only explanation to this... Some executor of an estate (a deceased collector) must have just took them in for deposit without realizing some of the value.

Make sure you spouse knows EXACTLY what the value of your notes!... Otherwise, they are sent in for destruction at your local bank branch, orphaned and gone forever.

I'm not sure what's more insane, you getting those for face or the fact you have someone email you when they get them.

Was pretty exited to find this. A little sad there was no dot. But I have searched over 100,000 pennies and never found one KGV Penny so...

@RoyalSilver: No devils face. All modified notes. Still in awe.

Still wondering what other stuff gets by through other bank branches for destruction and sent as mutilated notes.

Should I just send it back in circulation? I mean, its not worth anything, but its cool nonetheless

Thanks MJT.

@RoyalSilver.... Wow! Nice note... So close. The note is a $50 note...so, it maybe out of reach for some money collectors. But, I think you may get that odd collector paying around $55 to $60, or more if a collector has a matching note in their collection.
