I found a 1968 QEII penny in change last week. Not much to brag about as it was very dirty

Found this 1962 nickel with full doubled date and the last A in Canada doubled.

Looks like the C is doubled too.

Yes but just slightly, my phone picture doesn't do it justice and the coin is well circulated. Its nice when all four digits of the date are involved.

A hole filler for me. I'm sad about the coin roller damage on the reverse, but I don't think I'll ever find a nicer one in circulation. I don't have a picture but I also got a 1958 penny, an upgrade to my set.

Here are a few finds from the last two weeks at work. Barbados 2001 10 cents and Helvetica 1980 1 Franc: I received these two quarters from the same customer: Limited mintage 2006 Churchill pixie ear: (Edit: I thought this was the rare variety with 31,636 produced. Pixie ear has a mintage of 5 million but this is the second one I've seen.) VF Birds $5: As a couple were rummaging through the wife's purse, I noticed the white edge of a bill and then caught a glimpse of the blue. I told them I collect older banknotes and coins and asked to exchange for a newer bill, to which he awkwardly agreed.

Shows it never hurts to ask, to some a bill is a bill. Paper bills are harder to find all the time.

This 1966 SD is my recent find, and I literally mean I found what I had misplaced. I found it unincased in the envelope containing my 1966 Uncirculated Set. At some point in time, 15-20 years ago when life was much more hectic I think I must have been comparing the beads to the SD in the set and accidentally left it in the envelope. I hadn't looked at these sets ever since then until last month, when I noticed the envelope seemed heavy after I took out the set to put in a display page. It's brown toned with an aura of blue highlights. Perhaps the blue came from contact with the inside of the brown Uncirculated Set envelope. I call it "Canoeing by Moonlight". It's very tough to photograph and is far more attractive to the eye, but this is a try: Unfortunately, the obverse is "Queen with Chicken Pox".

I got a 1964 nickel in change yesterday. It's worn and scratched up but it is a break from all the plated white coins.
Since I only had $20 bills and $1 bills and the cashier won't take the $1 bills for my $5 purchase I ended up getting a bunch of loonies. A hole filler or two for me but nothing really special.

I got a very nice cartwheel lustre-y John A Macdonald toonie on the 30th of April. After I had packed all my coins away. It came with me here in my pocket.
