I managed to get a coloured and non coloured flag quarter on Canada Day in 2015 but hadn't seen another until months later. Found all of these in the last two weeks and my first coloured poppies! I guess my chances of finding a battle of thec Atlantic to one in the wild aren't great...maybe next yeat!

The poppy quarters are going for ~$2.50 - $3.00 on the Bay. Not sure how many are selling.

Nice find! Haven't seen one yet. You say you had 10 months of patience, 11 full months have passed this year, how frenzied were you for the last month.

The 2016 loonie will be an interesting story regarding the official mintage, seems to be only available trough dealers.

torgemco... wow just wow.I assume you have noticed the amount of rotation.Looks like someone popped out the core and put it back. What a mess DBM... My son works at a convenience store. I was calling him about 3 times a shift.

Asked the teller if she had any old coins and she told me she had a roll of old Loonies. I said I would take them and ended up with 50 cent pieces and Nickel dollars from every teller at the branch.
Turns out the paper wrapped "old loonies" are really nickel dollars.
37 1.00. 1968 to 1985 26 50 cent pieces. 1969 to 1985 and 2002
Just took a quick peek at them and there are a couple of MS or proof. I have no experience with MS grading but they sure looked brighter and less circulated

based on the gap between the center and outer portions of that toonie (picture of the obverse), in addition to the obvious rotation, I'd wager a guess that this one might have been one of the first batch of toonies which had the center pop out.
It looks like this was hammered/chiseled to keep the center in place.
It looks like the reverse was facing up, when it was hammered/chiseled to stay together.
but that's just what it looks like to me.
