Quote: Found a 2018 nickel from Tims and I saw it while I was there so I asked if they had more, and they let me buy a wrapped roll from them. Well done.

Stopped by the club today. The bartender and I always search her tip jar. I have her collecting now. I point out the ones she needs, and in return, I get to ARP the old ones. . Today she got the 2004 First Settlement quarter and another from the 1992 series. I got 2 quarters, a 78 and a 72. . Nice loonies Dorado. I still need a toonie. Edit: Must be my lucky day. Just got a 2008 Quebec toonie from Wendy's on the way home from ball. . Love the obverse on this coin.

I do the same thing with nickel dollars, but I live in a much larger town (440k) in Burlington. Before each golf season, I get 250 of them from a friend/collector and give them out as tips to the cart-girls and club waitresses as tips... they are a perfect beer tip. Each year, at the start of the season, I have to explain to the newbies that the coins are what Canada had before loonies.

That's awesome! I check my bank regularity for $1 and $2 bills as those have always been cool to hand out. Unfortunately ebay still fetches almost double face value for old yellow circulated bills!

Quote: That's awesome! Your gas gesture was awesome. Word doesn't take to long to spread in such a small community. You may get labelled as "the gas man". Good job. Jim Carey would be proud. . I ARP'd another 79 quarter today.

When will that gas station run out of commemoratives and ARP's?
