The best deals I have come across for outdated used coin magazines and catalogues is when dealers have a lot of stock of this type that has been hanging around and they just want to get a little money for, rather than just throwing them out. Sometimes a dealer will have these sorts of things on display in a sale, for a short time.

Coin World' issues are a great buy when you can come across them like this, when the articles are still quite current and relevant. With some of the much older ones, the advertisements and pricing can be quite interesting.
Just ask your dealer occasionally, you never know, you can be lucky.
I have picked up on used outdated shop copies of Krause for as little as $10.
When I have finished with these items myself, I just give them away to anyone who may be interested in coins.
