I'm just jumping back on the coin collecting train after 20+ years stuck in real life.

Anyone know of any good deals on magazine subscriptions?

Also I'm not even sure what is out there to pick from. If there is a thread that covers which magazines are best just point me in the right direction.

Coin World has a digital version and a print version. Coin Age is another good one.

I've had Coin World for more years then I can remember, and two years ago I changed over to the digital edition + 1 Monthly Magazine... I believe the cost for their subscription is less then what it costs them to produce and ship the monthly magazines... With the digital edition you also have access to their other numismatic on-line magazines...

I subscribe to Coin World. For $19.99/yr you get 12 monthly print issues & 52 Digital issues.

I agree with the others, Coin World is the best bang for your periodical buck right now.

Thanks for the input guys.
$20 sounds like a good deal and much less than I'm paying for single issues at the stand.

I just missed out a stack of past issues at the local library sale. :(
To make it worse they only sell withdrawn issues for 10 cents each..... double ouch

The best deals I have come across for outdated used coin magazines and catalogues is when dealers have a lot of stock of this type that has been hanging around and they just want to get a little money for, rather than just throwing them out. Sometimes a dealer will have these sorts of things on display in a sale, for a short time.

Old ' Coin World' issues are a great buy when you can come across them like this, when the articles are still quite current and relevant. With some of the much older ones, the advertisements and pricing can be quite interesting.

Just ask your dealer occasionally, you never know, you can be lucky.

I have picked up on used outdated shop copies of Krause for as little as $10.

When I have finished with these items myself, I just give them away to anyone who may be interested in coins.

That is a good idea.

Not many coin shops around here per se but there are a few pawn shop type stores that buy and sell coins where I might ask.

That sounds like a good deal on the Coin World. are the digital copies savable to a flash drive or anything?
