Hello! this is a repost. Upon coin roll hunting I came across a weird 1976 penny with an idaho icon with a number 10 in it above the date. I was just wondering if this was worth anything. Sorry for the cruddy resolution.

Its called a counterstamped coin. People sell em on ebay. Maybe a few bucks at the most unless you get a couple people bidding against each other. I like em so I keep all the ones I find roll hunting.

The characters inside the shape are the abbreviation of the state - "ID" - not the number 10.

These generally sell in the neighborhood of a dollar or two each...but usually no more than that. They are rather plentiful.

Poeple stamp all kinds of things on coins.I found several with different states on them .Today I found this 1997 penny with what might looks like a swastika.
