I don't usually buy NCLT. But, having conducted fieldwork in the Wells-Barkerville area of the Cariboo Mountains, I was compelled to purchase the small 50-cent gold coin.

I absolutely love it. The effect of the mirror finish as the water in the gold pan is very striking...

I am now seriously considering purchasing the $100 gold coin as well...

I ordered one as well. Hopefully I see it before the 200th anniversary! :-)

I'm planning on ordering one. Holding off since the mint is back logged $1000 of ordered coins already. I figured I was safe waiting for that one.

I certainly like the theme of this coin. It's not as cartoony as others I've encountered. Pics!

I received mine today. Sorry, it's tough to get a good picture but I wanted to show the poor job the mint did getting the coin into position and the ugly job someone did cutting the black foam. See the obverse between 5 and 9 o'clock.

I like the tiny little coin but I'm not impressed that I have to crack open the capsule to fix the display.

I finally opened the wallet, and bought the other coin to match this one. I normally don't touch NCLT gold, but since I conducted fieldwork in that region, both the 50-cent and $100 gold coins speak to me...

I think with these 1/25 being so small, it is hard to see all the detail. So far the only 2 of these 1/25 gold coins I like are: Blunenose - http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/bluen....UHtNuoZSSGs
and the penny - http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/125-o...-prod1550017
