In perusing my cookie jar full of coins, I discovered a 1963/D penney that appears to have been double stamped on the back. The image looks like it was stamped left to right; then, again top to bottom. The image is stamped in a "t". I am a novice at details on coins...so, any information is greatly appreciated.

It says that in "most" cases a clear image of the coin in question will be needed. I think I would change that to "all." It's impossible to help anyone who doesn't know error coins inside and out with any question about error coins without an image. SO MANY things can determine the authenticity and value of any coin, asking a question without an image is like asking us to take a wild guess that wouldn't help in a life or death situation.
