Somebody paid $400 for it. Looks like a modified 1916-S, but even if it was authentic, that's too pricey for the amount of damage it has.

Looks like the mint mark was burned in with a laser. Not sure what's going on down there but it just doesn't look right.

Ouch, the lengths some people go through to make an extra buck. Pretty deceptive if you're untrained in the art of spotting modified coins.

Just noticed that there are punch marks on the OBVERSE opposite the mint mark! There is a 14 day return on this coin and if the buyer doesn't take advantage of it, they almost deserve to lose their money. Is this worth reporting to ebay? It's quite evident that it's been messed with.

Well some under educated collector paid $399.95 for this dime.
To bad sellers can get by taking advantage of people.

OK, you guys can see more detail in those crappy pics than I can. I can simply see that coin is jacked up. Between the damage and out of focus pics, no way should anyone bid on it.

You don't have to be trained to spot fakes to stay away from that. When you are paying $400 for the mint mark it is probably not a good idea to buy a coin that look like a welder was taken to the mint mark.
Rest in Peace

Not only has ebay done nothing, the buyer left positive feedback!
