gVF-EF in my opinion, plenty of friction wear noticable on the kings face, but a beautiful design none the less

Quote: Trout I would appreciate your impression of these 2
From what I can see in the pics they look A Unc - Unc. Can you put them on a scanner so they show everything, Warts and all? Do they have full lustre if not what percentage of the lustre is left? They look promising tho The 1951 and 1954 commemorative florins are real hard to get in super high grade because of the open fields on them

Quote: todays pondering..how many 27's does trout have remember he's been collecting them from when they were released
there are plenty left out there ( I only cherry pick the better ones ) I have about 30 in my commemorative album, They have to grade EF+ or better to get a guernsey in there. The rest I keep in 2x2's in a storage box, I sometimes make up 3 coin sets and trade/give them away But as a general rule I don't like to part with them.

I picked up another 1927 florin from the post office on my way to another job just south of Mt Newman. I won't be able to post any picks or scans till I get back home but this one will go MS65 or better, Very happy with this purchase

At the moment they are quite easy to get in grades up to MS60-62, The challange is to get them in grades above that. Most of them have been knocked about a bit especialy the 51 and 54 coins.
