Thanks to this forum I think I have identified that last post of mine. Looks like it's a "rechenpfennig" (counting token) from Nuremberg. Not sure why the counterstamp though.

This is my favorite c/m in my collection. It is an 1835 Philippines c/m on a 1832 Mexico 8 Reales. The stamp is of Isabel II. I hope this fits in with this thread.

Oh cool, I didn't know we had a thread for these. Here's the three I have which were all found in the wild. The 'common' JFK was my first 33.6 n 106.6 w which is located in some strange hexadecagon shaped area if you look at the earth veiw google map close up. My newest I haven't been able to find anywhere else yet. A Conestoga wagon.

33.6 N 106.6 W is a point on the White Sands Missile Range close to what appears to be the ruins of an old farm. Pretty neat.

Just found this one in a roll the other day. JFK Half, 1978-D the front has a cross on his head, the back has a "7" on the shield, sorry about the pics, and now I can't get the crop function to work on the optimizer

Quote: Lucky Cuss I saw one like yours on page 3. I hadn't gone through the whole thread before I posted, somebody had simply suggested I put mine up here. Does look to be the same, just dated two years later.

You can purchase all kinds of hardened iron stamps online, I bought a beer stamp, and sometimes for fun, I'll stamp a nickel dollar and toss it in an envelope as a bonus to a repeat ebay customer. Sort of like saying, "cheers" with the Queen...
