Might be kind of sad MrPink. Whoever P and J are must not be together anymore for such a keepsake to have found it's way back into circulation.

(btw. is your name a Reservoir Dogs reference? Entertaining yet disturbing film.)

Mr Pink is my cat.

Official-

he got the name for two reasons. one, some of his facial features (nose, lips, ears) become very hot pink at certain points of the day, especially when he's awake & active (hot pink color due to blood flow). at the time I adopted him I also adopted another cat, named him Mr Grey (r.i.p.). when a name eludes me for an animal (like Steve, Garfield, Alistair, Buddy, etc) i'll usually refer to the animal as Mr, Miss or Mrs something. in Mr Pink's case I let his pinkish facial colors be his name. Mr Grey was one of those blue-grey colors, so I let him be Mr Grey. I would think it insulting to a cat to give it a strange name. of course, I don't call Mr Pink by that name, he never responds to it. I call him Bud. he's always responded to that and still does.

two, I know a number of the veterinarians down here to be on the eccentric side and I knew that the name Mr Pink was going to be an attention-getter, primarily because of the unintended movie reference. he's a beautiful creature & he gets the best care & attention that I can possibly muster/provide for him.

yeah, hard to say what the story there may be. one would assume a break-up or lost love or similar.

Got this as change instead of a nickel. Read through most replies and got most info, except who did this counter stamp, or did I not read enough? Read it was common that year. I find alot from this little milk store.

Minniemarine. That counter stamp was done by the Littleton Coin Co.

They offered it plated and plain. I see you were lucky and got a plated one. Nice.
