Hi, I live up here in the Great NW. We have two shows The PNNA....PAC. NW numismatic Asst.Spring,(the King Co Coin Club, sets this up). the Boeing show, Winter...I belong to both. There are smaller shows through out the state to... The big focus like you guys and gales are kids....I watched you get together and was very impressed with what you did.. I would like to give you a few ideas. One thing you could do to get more supplies is, call the U.S.mint Rep. they will send you resources. I think we got 500 bags with pencils, literature, and a un struck Pennie planchet. It takes time to get is why I didn't mention it before.. also we do a treasure hunt, a card were the kids have to go to 10 venders ( which you have to get on board)..and they sign off that they saw a coin or learned about a coin. That way the kids just don't get a coin or bag with out a little work...These are just a couple ideas, these are just ideas and I'm not telling you what to do...

The ANA also did a treasure hunt with the kids at the WFoM show. Once the kids found out we were giving out free stuff and helping them, they started coming in droves with their treasure hunt sheet.

Susanlynn9, I know how busy it can get when you have what looks like 100 kids coming at you. The ANA also will send to you resources, that's all you have to do is call.. I would tell them that you are the largest coin club in the World, which we are....we are trying to kids hooked on coins, that awesome...

My local coin show is tiny in comparison to the FUN show. Guess I am a large coin show newbie. So, I have some questions:is there an entrance fee? about how much? is that for each day or the whole event? Do you have tips or recommendations for newbies? what to bring? what not to bring? Do most take credit/debit cards or is cash the main/only option? I will have more questions later.

Usually $4-6 for the whole event (I believe). That's how Long Beach Coin Expo is at least.
Same stuff you would bring to your smaller shows, same applies here. There may be at times, many people at a particular dealers table, just know where your turn is(part of the whole etiquette thing). Usually the dealer will know too, and ask how he can help you. Most believe it or not are cash only. I'd say 20-25% are set up to take CCd's, at least from what I've experienced. A few may take personal checks but most won't. Few things to keep in mind.

that last part is like my local show: wait your turn at tables, very few if any take CCd's, less take checks, cash is king FYI - I was lucky one dealer did take a check when I bought his 1798 Bust Dollar

FYI, though, we (Coin Community/CCF Numismatics) do accept credit cards.
