I still think you should make him an offer for all he has. Offer him $2/each for all of them. Nothing to loose.

I've never gone to the coin shop in Springfield. Is it worth going to ? A bit too hot to venture out to the fair for me although Weird Al would be fun to see. Have fun !

the Coin shop in Springfield is hit or miss, I find he is closed alot and it doesent seem like a large selection. The 2nd hand places right near it are pretty good, Trash n Treasures and the Antique Mall have a couple cases and just down the street from the Coin shop.
There is a GREAT shop in canyonville, the guy has some great coins, for very reasonable prices. The one in the Roseburg Mall isn't too bad, but he is closed till November.

There are a few exceptions to the pre-1934 rule. If you can find '34-D, '35-D or even '36-D in the box in XF-AU they are a good deal. Also a 1945 micro-S carries a premium over melt in XF or better. I assume you're checking for the over-dates just in case somebody missed one, but if you have the time you can check for some varieties too.

I'll keep my eye out for the 34-36D in xf-au. Have passed those over since I was focusing on Under 10m mintage. I know about the Micro S, but the rest of his 45's are probably xf or so, seen alot of circulation, but may have to look closer(trying to get UNC 40's). I have a 30 min window during work to check it out, and eat...so its usually a rush. Once I get to the point I can buy/trade on here, I'll be on the market for upgrades!

Weird al was great, Waited 2 hours just so I could have a good spot to stand. Was alot of fun for a free w/admission show.
But after that things went south, blew a head gasket 2 miles south of Cottage Grove yesterday. Spent all day getting a tow back to roseburg!

CG - maybe you would be able to send me a few of those coins? I'm sure many of us here would love to give you some $ to pick us up some. but I think you need to have 50 or 250 posts before we start talking sale..

Yup, Will be no time til I'm able to. Great way to pass the time at work(and one of the few forums I can access through their firewall).
But when I do get to that point, I'd gladly pick up stuff if others need. Have some great coins in the area :)

Sadly no coins purchased today, Decided to take a break to save some $. And to more easily justify spending 25 on a Full Band MS 64 1916p. And I guess a 1922 D strong strike LWC
